students-and-teacherCreated and delivered by Dr David Poole, former Macquarie University lecturer and coordinator of units in Human Resource Management and Training & Development, Dragon's accredited Certificate IV in Human Resources has been designed to provide engaging learning in several core areas of Human Resource Management (HRM). These include the basic operations of the HRM function, the processes of recruiting, selecting, and inducting staff, performance management, and industrial relations. Other units cover areas such as managing oneself and others, addressing customer needs, and promoting innnovation in a team environment.

The course will be particularly appropriate for learners currently working in, or hoping to work in the future, within the HRM function, either as generalist or specialist HR employees. Undertaking this program, you will:

  • access the latest thinking about human resource management (HRM) and the apply this to your current and future roles
  • learn how to manage the HR function within organisations, including workforce planning, industrial relations, performance management, and recruitment, selection, and induction
  • develop skills in team leadership and the encouragement of organisational innovation and effective customer service

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for previous studies so that the Certificate IV in Human Resources may be completed more quickly by some learners.
